Exploring the hills above Treherbert in pictures

Posted by on Oct 2, 2013 in Outdoors, Reviews, Uncategorized | 2 Comments

I spent a night out in the hills above Treherbert with ALXMLS, and this is the trip in a few photos.

So we parked up and began the trek up the hill towards the waterfall.

The views looking back where we had climbed up through the valley were spectacular.

As we moved up from the waterfall and clambered up to the top of the hill, we had a magnificent view of many of the surrounding valleys, and we even saw a MUFC flag flapping in the distance…

From there we headed into the woods uphill for a short while, and selected our place to stop for the night. We were situated right on the edge of a forest clearing with an outstanding view, so we sat down and had a well deserved brew…

ALXMLS then prepared some amazing food he had been waiting to try out.. it was a kind of Chicken curry noodle soup raman type recipe which deserves it’s own post… – (and all cooked in a Swedish mess kit.) Then it was time to set shelters up for the night and relax..

It was a beautiful morning, and after a relaxed wakeup/breakfast/pack up, we headed back down to civilisation…

It was a great trip

some great pix in there. They make me wish I didn’t spend so much time on this darn computer. I don’t know where you find time to post fantastic articles like this as well as go out and take the pictures. Looking forward to the next post, keep ’em coming.
